Geoff Croxford

Principal

With over 40 years’ experience, covering all facets of Family Law and De facto Law, including Intervention Orders, Children’s matters and financial agreements. Every effort is made by Geoff to resolve matters in that jurisdiction, through sensible discussion, exchange of relevant financial information, mediation and collaboration and not through the Courts, unless absolutely necessary.

The issue of proceedings in the family jurisdictions can be trying, stressful and cause great upset and heartache to the parties, let alone the substantial costs involved. More than 95% of cases that Geoff handles are resolved either without the issue of proceedings or where proceedings issue and through sensible discussion, negotiation and mediation. Geoff endeavors to bring those steps, at a preliminary stage, in an attempt to avoid substantial legal fees.

Andrew Croxford

Principal

Given Andrew’s extensive experience, he prides himself on partnering with his clients to achieve the best possible commercial outcomes in a cost-efficient manner whilst developing long-term client relationships that continue after a matter has been resolved. Andrew is known for his excellent client service and plain-speaking legal advice as clients navigate their way through complex litigation and disputes.

Andrew’s practice incorporates all jurisdictions from the Federal Court of Australia to the Supreme Court and County Courts, Magistrate’s Court and Tribunals together with other jurisdictions throughout Australia.

Micky Milardovic

Principal

He completed his articles under Geoff Croxford and commenced working at Voitin Walaker Davis which then became Stynes Dixon Lawyers. He and Geoff Croxford then started Croxford Partners. Micky then moved back to Ballarat (where he now lives) and became a sole practitioner (starting Milardovic Legal being a generalist practice) with great success.

Micky has now merged Milardovic Legal with Andrew Croxford Associates, forming CMA Law, bringing his common sense and no nonsense approach to that practice.

Catherine Azzopardi

Admitted to legal practice in 2022, Catherine worked as a paralegal and then junior lawyer at a specialist criminal law firm in South Yarra, before bringing her insight and skills to our team at CMA Lawyers.

Catherine practises exclusively in criminal law and regularly appears in the various Victorian court jurisdictions.

As a skilled advocate, Catherine has a range of experience, advising in both criminal law and intervention order matters, and frequently appears for bail applications, contest mentions, pleas of guilty, case conferences and intervention order matters.

Catherine understands the critical role of criminal defence in the justice system and every citizen’s right to a fair and just hearing, and she is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients, ensuring that they are well informed, supposed and respected throughout the process.

Juliette Saoud

Throughout her studies, Juliette worked as a paralegal in a broad range of practice areas. Juliette has been practicing exclusively in family law since admission.

Juliette is experienced in all areas of family law and has a particular interest in complex children’s matters, including parenting arrangements, family violence and relocation cases. Juliette supports and guides her clients through the Australian Family Law system.

Amira Nahas

Amira is known for her attention to detail and prioritises achieving timely and commercial outcomes for her clients while providing clear and sensible advice.

Prior to her admission to legal practice, Amira obtained extensive experience across national law firms in areas not limited to family law, property law, wills and estates, criminal law and personal injury law. Her experience in these areas has allowed her to develop a wide skillset and plethora of knowledge within the legal field.

Amira specialises in all aspects of family law, including parenting and property matters across de facto and marital relationships, and handles matters involving family violence with care.
